Abstract

Companies enter the 21st century immersed in highly complex competitive scenarios, where various economic, political and social factors require a transformation in organizations in order to take advantage of the opportunities that arise and guarantee their business success. Without a doubt, business models, as well as the development of new management attitudes and skills, have been developed to respond to this reality. This article shows the results of a bibliographic review based on an exploratory methodology, from which it was intended to understand how companies have innovated in their business model to respond to these changes. In this scenario, the article focuses on presenting B Corps as a form of hybrid business that considers the economic, social and environmental impact. In this review, key concepts such as open innovation, strategic agility and dynamic capabilities, creation of shared value and corporate social responsibility are developed, as part of the conceptual journey that has allowed us to arrive at the business model of B Corps. It is concluded that it is a model of business that is gaining strength in Latin America, which has an imprint of open innovation and which responds to the development of emerging economies with triple impact. Likewise, it was evidenced that there is a duty in academic research on the subject, an aspect that reinforces and promotes new research.
