The importance of applied ethics for sustainability and social responsibility

Based on the review of specialized literature, three sections are presented: the first recovers from the consulted authors the different ways in which they combined some central concepts, such as: a) Sustainability, Social Responsibility and Ethics; b) Ethics, Business Ethics and Corporate Social Responsibility; c) Ethics, Responsibility and Sustainable Development; d) Ethical Practices, Corporate Social Responsibility and Financial Performance; and e) Sustainability, Social Responsibility and Public Responsibility. Then there is the importance of education regarding sustainability and social responsibility based on the UNESCO proposal (2015), and a significant empirical contribution on social sustainability, which considers ethical elements with students from two universities in Valencia Spain.
